– I suggest that our articles on the individual César Awards should be moved from "year" to "ordinal".

The primary reason is that this is less ambiguous: When someone says "the 2012 César Awards", it isn't entirely clear whether they mean the Awards ceremony held in 2012, or the one which honoured films made in 2012. Secondly, this route (with ordinals rather than years) is also the one taken by our other series of articles on annual film awards, such as, for example, the Academy Awards ("1st"), the Golden Globe Awards ("1st"), the Primetime Emmy Awards ("1st"), the British Academy Film Awards ("1st"), the European Film Awards ("1st"), the Goya Awards ("1st"), etc.

And third, the corresponding articles on the French Wikipedia are named after their ordinal, rather than the year they were held. Gabbe (talk) 21:52, 10 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support. As a major contributor to the recent years' articles, I had wondered this myself. Now that someone else has noticed, I think we can safely go ahead and start the moves, rather than wait for a consensus, although the 2012/38th will require an admin move as that article has already begun and we don't want to lose the revision histories. I will begin at the 1976/1st. — Wyliepedia 12:27, 11 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I'm an admin myself, by-the way, I started this discussion to look for the opinion of others. I'll do the final move. Gabbe (talk) 12:44, 11 March 2013 (UTC) Already done. Gabbe (talk) 12:47, 11 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, thanks! I screwed up from 1990 to
1990 should be 15th
1991 16th
1992 17th
1993 18th
1994 19th
1995 20th
1996 21st
1997 22nd
1998 23rd
1999 24th
César Awards 2000 25th

After that, we're good. I am so sorry. I got ahead of myself/distracted. I will go fix any straggling "what links here" now. — Wyliepedia 13:14, 11 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
