Shouldn't this be Ogaden conflict (2007). -- 67.98.206.2 19:03, 5 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I thought it was on line with 2001 Macedonia conflict, 2007 Lebanon conflict.. --TheFEARgod (Ч) 10:37, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Indeed it is. —Nightstallion 11:01, 8 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

GA review

[edit]

I'm going to begin reading this article for SA status as it was listed on WP:GAN. Comments during the process are welcome. Once I finish reading, I'll put my thoughts on this page, and a checklist of whether it meets the fundamental criteria.Bless sins (talk) 23:03, 11 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Here is what a first reading tells me:

GA review (see here for criteria)
  1. It is reasonably well written.
    a (prose): b (MoS):
  2. It is factually accurate and verifiable.
a (references): b (citations to reliable sources): c (OR):
The "Background" section ("Insurgency" subsection) needs more references; some sources are of marginal reliability.
  3. It is broad in its coverage.
    a (major aspects): b (focused):
a very well-rounded presentation of the conflict as a whole: diplomacy, propaganda, impact on noncombatants, media coverage etc.
  4. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
    Fair representation without bias:
  5. It is stable.
    No edit wars etc.:
  6. It is illustrated by images, where possible and appropriate.
a (images are tagged and non-free images have fair use rationales): b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
Definitely more real images (i.e. not maps and diagrams) are needed
  7. Overall:
    Pass/Fail:

Sources whose reliability should be established: [1], [2], [3], [4]. Besides this, many citations don't list author, date or even title of work. Please fix this ASAP. Thanks.Bless sins (talk) 23:40, 11 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I appreciate your concerns:
OK almost all the references have been fixed stylistically. Regarding the photos, its ok if you can't find any. Some links are dead, they need to be replaced (or the content removed). I'll wait a day (for comments) before passing this article.Bless sins (talk) 04:26, 13 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for doing that great work regarding the refs. Dead links replaced. Cheers, --TheFEARgod (Ч) 08:37, 13 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
