Campaigns
[edit]Presumably the campaigns are included in the other election articles, so they wouldn't need to be duplicated here, right? Just hoping to confine this to the WP:TOPIC. Student7 (talk) 15:42, 19 August 2010 (UTC)
Purpose of page?
[edit]The first section is very wandering/not relevant. This page contains no actual information about who was running for what office and what the results were. Stating that all offices in Vermont have 2 year terms isn't really relevant and could be posted on Vermont elections 2006, vermont elections 2010,etc. I'm almost certain the turnout data is wrong. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vermont_Democratic_primary,_2008 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vermont_Republican_primary,_2008 Both these pages show about 200,000 people turned out for the primaries. The source that states a 9.5% turnout is a dead link. I'm merging/copypasta'ing the data from both those pages since there is no other relevant information on this page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tunafizzle (talk • contribs) 23:18, 2 March 2011 (UTC)
- There has to be a governing page to match national template so that interested readers can "get to" the highest level article for 2008 in a state. The article has to be standalone. Not everyone immediately knows before coming to this page, what elections are covered. So, yes, each article has to have the same preface in it covering elections. Or a similar preface/lead. - There is no such thing as a "dead" link where the url has expired and there is a hard copy ref. All that happens is the dead url is erased. The soft copy was only for short term checking by other editors anyway. They always "expire". Papers don't keep them online forever. Student7 (talk) 23:43, 4 March 2011 (UTC)
