[edit]Does the opening ceremony really start at 21:00? I have read 20:30 in numerous other sources. Do we have an official source we can cite? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kennethmac2000 (talk • contribs) 12:44, 15 August 2012
- Time corrected. Please remember to sign your posts. Difficultly north (talk) 13:40, 15 August 2012 (UTC)
- Do we have a source though? I'm not sure that 20:30 is definitely right either. --Kennethmac2000 (talk) 20:22, 15 August 2012 (UTC)
- My ticket says 19.30 but I can also see that Channel 4 starts its boradcast at 8pm. 86.160.14.119 (talk) 12:38, 18 August 2012 (UTC)
Event Infomration
[edit]On the day the Paralympics starts the page for the opening is in a truly pathetic and poor state and needs mases of information to be added onto it please.

Its unbelieveable that there is so little on this important event, it is the second biggest sporting event Britain has ever staged and this is all there is for the opening cermony, shame on you! Now I have done my little rant I will do a little bit of work to get things moving along! (MOTORAL1987 (talk) 23:31, 28 August 2012 (UTC)).
- Don't get disheartened. Look at the state of the 2012 Summer Olympics opening ceremony page the day before: [1]. Not very impressive either. This page will get filled out once the event has happened - after all, it's hard to write about something that hasn't been seen yet. Plenty of people will come by to help, I can guarantee. 86.134.91.171 (talk) 15:51, 29 August 2012 (UTC)
Very strange reading in the past tense things that are yet to happen. A lo of the details of all the ceremonies has been kept secret so it is impossible to produce a full text prior to the event. 86.144.25.248 (talk) 21:52, 29 August 2012 (UTC)
Broadcast
[edit]Small matter I know, but If the ceremony started at 08:30pm and ended at 12:10am... how can Channel 4 broadcast it from 8pm to 12:20am? I realise there was discussions before and after, but as this statement only mentions the ceremony and nothing else, this could only cause confusion. ~~ Peteb16 (talk) 23:26, 29 August 2012 (UTC)
- Channel 4 did start broadcasting at 8pm however they were in their studio, talking about the lead up to it, introducing Paralympians, before cutting to the opening at 8:30. -- [[ axg ◉ talk ]] 10:48, 30 August 2012 (UTC)
Description of events
[edit]I think calling the arrival of the torch 'the big finale' is incorrect as Miranda's journey continued after that and the statue of Alison Lapper was really the finale. 86.144.25.248 (talk) 16:05, 30 August 2012 (UTC)
I find an issue with this section:
"Another performance within this was called "Ella Ella Ella", a remix of Rihanna's song "Umbrella", performed by amongst others the troupe Flawless. During this umbrellas were used as the central theme as a nod to the British weather"
we were told during rehearsals that umbrellas were used through out the performance as a symbol of protection and the reason that the giant umbrella raised from the centre to above the audience was to suggest that everyone was protected together.
if you need any more info on the show i worked as part of the production team and am happy to provide infomation
