Performance data

[edit]

The numbers for the performance in the the cartridge box must be wrong. Someone should verify the actual numbers.Pigoutultra (talk) 00:29, 4 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I verified the numbers at the websites of S&B and Brenneke and added a DWM load. These are all factory loads. Brenneke and DWM do state stouter loads than S&B. It is possible that Brenneke and DWM employ modern high performance propellants that are available for (larger) ammunition manufacturers, but not for reloaders. These propellants have relatively moderate (thus C.I.P. conform) but long lasting maximum pressure levels yielding relatively high muzzle velocities. The Brenneke .30-06 Springfield numbers for example are close behind the 8x64mm S numbers as might be expected. The Ende eines Dornröschenschlafs, Pirsch 22/2007 article also mentions the same figures as the websites.--Francis Flinch (talk) 08:45, 4 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
