"A serial rapist stalked the neighborhood earlier this year...."

This doesn't tell me what year this serial rapist was in operation. If I were going to take it literally, I would assume the year I am reading the statement, 2007. However, if no one gets around to updating this article between now and 2008, someone reading the article in 2008 will assume that the rapist started operating in 2008. Put the year the rapist was operating in the sentence, as well as a footnote with a link to a Houston Chronicle article about the rapist.

I have to look, but I think I mentioned something about it in HPD's Article and needs to be expanded upon. Either way I created Lamarques McWilliams with a redirect to Acres Homes in case someone wants to make an article. I think it might be significant enough to justify it, even though it didn't receive national coverage and didn't get much coverage locally, but the number of victims does make it notable in my opinion. Serial Killer suspect

[edit]

I had did a minor update on History of the Houston Police Department about Lamarques McWilliams with cites. As this case moves forward, I hope that it will allow for a full article. If someone wants to find a way to include it on this article, feel free to incorporate it, but I think we should wait until more details go forward until that happens. --Hourick (talk) 18:00, 17 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Acres Homes Community Leader Dorothy Mae Harper Hubbard

[edit]

My mother Dorothy Mae Harper Hubbard was very active in the Acres Homes Community. She was not a person to boost on her endeavors, but I will. My mother was inspirational in getting the Acres Homes Multi-Service Center, Acres Homes Library and the Acres Homes Sub-station in the area because she saw a need and she fought hard for these facilities and was the voice-piece for a lot of citizens in the area. She was a Precinct Judge for Pct.546 for many years until her demise in October, 2008. I love my mom and I have only written not even a percentage of her role in the community. I had to write this because her name should have been displayed on something in the community. It won't be long until Acres Homes see her name displayed. It is in the works. Stay Tuned. With much Love mom, your baby girl, Elaine. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.15.144.98 (talk) 19:06, 27 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
