I understand there are some disputes with the substantiated ([1][2][3]) fact that Johnson became known as the "Podium Guy". I agree that a podium and a lectern are separate things and are frequently confused, however the media have reported that he is known as the "Podium Guy", not the "Lectern Guy". Some unregistered users have cited Johnson's social media accounts that say he wants to be called the "Lectern Guy". However, what he wants to be known as is a great deal less relevant than what he actually became known as in the days following the Capitol riots, which has not been reported in any reliable sources. I'm putting this here as an explanation and a place to discuss the issue respectfully if needed.
If anyone does wish to change this again, please cite that change with reliable sources rather than simply changing the single word, and have the diligence to change both mentions of the nickname. JamJamSvn (talk) 16:53, 24 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
