Semi-protected edit request on 19 May 2022

Hi, I would like to request that you remove the paragraph stating that Adam Farley had played in one of the games he bet on. He never played in any of the games and this was a mistake and he doesn’t deserve for this to follow him around for the rest of his life and it could impact his future. 193.164.120.138 (talk) 07:36, 19 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: seems to be sourced https://www.pitchero.com/clubs/marine/news/press-release-fa-issue-charges-on-betting-73213.html Cannolis (talk) 08:01, 19 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
And see the Liverpool Echo, which confirms the details relating to the ban. [3]. AndyTheGrump (talk) 15:44, 19 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Page deletion

[edit]

Can I propose that this page is deleted. He hasn’t played at any level for over 12 years and isn’t a relevant person. The sourced information regarding betting is wrong and could have a huge impact on the rest of his life. Statto1950 (talk) 14:02, 19 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

given that you are blocked from editing the article page, you'd need to find someone willing to do so on your behalf - see Wikipedia:Deletion policy and Wikipedia:Deletion process for more details on ways to propose deletion. You should note however that 'not having played for 12 years' isn't likely to be seen as a valid argument for deletion - we have articles on professional footballers who died over a hundred years ago (see e.g. Fergus Suter). This is an encyclopaedia, and topics which meet our notability requirements are expected to remain notable.
As for 'sourced information' being wrong, we'd need a source for that. Or at minimum, a better reason to remove it than mere assertions that it is wrong. AndyTheGrump (talk) 15:41, 19 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
