I think that as an article about a significant minority population in a US state, and particularly a US state with a somewhat unique history, this is a subject that is almost certain to be notable even before looking at the sources themselves. I'm curious, Onel5969, if you did any particular review of the sources to ensure that they were sufficiently reliable and secondary to not need maintenance tags, or if you felt that they looked solid enough for the claims supported at a glance. signed, Rosguill talk 20:15, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Excellent, Rosguill, that's why I wanted this one reviewed. I could only review the three with online access, all of which panned out, however, they weren't very substantive to the article, the first simply backed up the pie chart, and the other two backed up the fact of certain communities with black populations. However, I did ensure that the titles of the other references were valid, and that being the case, AGF, I marked the article as reviewed.Onel5969 TT me 20:26, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
RoadSnacks set off some alarms for me when I saw it, but on review it actually looks like a solid source (and isn't being used to support anything controversial anyhow). FWIW, while source No. 5 has relatively little information itself, it appears to be a preamble for several other presumably substantial articles scholarly articles on this subject. signed, Rosguill talk 20:39, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Onel5969 and Rosguill: I believe I would have signed off on this with little hesitation. As noted, a look at the sourcing doesn't so much show a lot of good material that has been used, as a lot of potentially good material that is available for further expansion; and no particular reason not to AGF in this regard, based on what has been implemented already. Second possible issue, does this level of subject specificity fit in with how the subject area is currently being treated on WP? The nav bars show that it's well in line with what else is going on, and does not appear to be a content fork either. Overall good to go for The Mainspace Editing Process ™, IMO. --Elmidae (talk · contribs) 17:47, 28 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Regions with significant populations

[edit]

It would be great to clean up this section "Regions with significant populations", but it needs reliable sources, see WP:RS. Please correct with proper citations. PigeonChickenFish (talk) 18:35, 11 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
