[edit]Obviously he was an Iranian writer born in Neishapur city of Khorasan (in present-day Iran) who wrote several great books in Arabic, one of them a book on lives of Banu Sasan (The Sassanid Dynasty of Persia) in 250 pages and several other books specifically on Persian culture and sociology. Bottom line: He was not an Arab. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.239.82.2 (talk) 20:08, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

This is just the brief text from 1911 Britannica with no supporting material. A comment on the talk page claims he is Persian rather than Arabic. It needs attention from someone knowledgable in this area and information from another source. Bob Burkhardt (talk) 14:29, 13 March 2009 (UTC) |
