WWI - injury
[edit]He was injured in WWI on 1 August famliy was originally notified in error that it was serious this rectified 1 month later. The injury was to his right ankle after slipping in the officers mess. there 8 page in his service record about the investigation to ensure the injury wasnt self inflicted deliberately. He recieved British War medal and Victory medal in WWI.
