Adjective Agreement
[edit]Freier Deutschen Kulturbund should be Freier Deutscher Kulturbund, Freies Deutsches Kulturbund, or Freien Deutschen Kulturbund, depending how far you want it to agree with the syntax of the English sentence. Just not Freier Deutschen Kulturbund, which is a mix of nominative and accusative/genitive adjective endings. 80.239.194.50 (talk) 18:22, 26 November 2013 (UTC)
Religious beliefs
[edit]I am writing about the whole of the Kerr family here to keep this discussion in one place. In As Far As I Remember Michael Kerr described his father as an atheist who told him to say he was a dissident, which in German can mean atheist or agnostic, if asked about his religion in school. In When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit Anna told her friend her family was Jewish but then told her they were not religious when asked about their observance. Anna did reckon that her grandparents were Jewish though. In A Small Person Far Away Anna's mother is described as agnostic. In An Atheist's History of Belief Matthew Kneale described his mother as a refugee German Jewish atheist. By the sound of it Alfred Kerr and his family were Jewish by heritage but were not religious so I do not think it is correct to use Jewish to describe their religion as opposed to their family heritage.
