What makes a article Featured?

[edit]

Hello fellow Wikipedia users. We are a small group of friends that would like to make some edits on the this article to make it that much better and possibly make it one of the next featured articles. What we plan to do, is add some more sections to the article and also add more detail to the sections already there( see what I did there?). Our overall goal is to make the article better \.Here are the Criteria we will be focusing on.

First of all, we will be focusing on a lead for the article, because this article clearly lacks one. The summary clearly lacks facts and it does not prepare us for the coming sections, plus it is not appealing/engaging. Our focus is to make the lead more catchy and make the reader want to read more. Also we want to make order to the summary, so we as readers are not jumping from place to place to find information.
Our second focus will be to make the article more well written. Why this article is lacking this is, like we said on the last paragraph, it is not engaging. For this article to get the attention and care it needs, people will want to read it, and how do we make more people read it? simple, MAKE IT MORE INTERRESTING! This article clearly lacks a attention grabber, this article needs something at the top to make it more interesting, which is why we are here, to find that something.

The third Criteria we will be focusing on, is the Comprehensiveness of the article. For as we can see, from the extra research me and my friends found, there is a lot of information missing, important dates, how the band was formed, etc. Our job is to add the needed information that this article lacks, and make the article better and more organized.

Why this criteria is important is that these are the building blocks of a good article, yes some of these are in the article, but they are not presented properly, that is our job, to make sure that these criteria are met and make this article possibly the next featured article.
