Removing notability tag - Amber Marks is notable both by her family connections and as the author of a book which has been widely reviewed and trailed as a best-seller. seglea (talk) 21:59, 2 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm.. I see what you are saying but the general rule in Wikipedia is that people are not notable by virtue of their family connections. So that's not an issue. The book might be enough - but i. I'm not sure being the author of one book is sufficient (unless it's a best seller or a significant work) and ii. I'm not sure that that book is sufficiently notable either. Can you provide sources to show that it is? Or, failing that, why not provide other sources of her notability? Then there will be no probs! regards Setwisohi (talk) 21:23, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Here's where it says the bit re: notability not being transferred by means of relationships:- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Generally_notable_people (see under Non valid general criteria). I'll try and find out whether one book is sufficient! If it is not, perhaps the article would be better merged with Howard Marks? Setwisohi (talk) 21:32, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Works section

[edit]

someone anonymous user at 94.5.247.207 just removed a section labeled "Works" that contained some links to some headlines in the news that I'm assuming were about Amber Marks. I'm not sure if I should fix this or not. Usb10 (talk) 15:45, 28 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

For now, I will add it back in. PLEASE tell me if I made a mistake about putting it back in. Usb10 (talk) 15:53, 28 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Notability

[edit]

Given the debate above, has she done anything in the past decade? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.144.66.56 (talk) 02:40, 29 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
