File:Amstel.jpg to appear as POTD soon[edit]

Hello! This is a note to let the editors of this article know that File:Amstel.jpg will be appearing as picture of the day on August 10, 2011. You can view and edit the POTD blurb at Template:POTD/2011-08-10. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page so Wikipedia doesn't look bad. :) Thanks! howcheng {chat} 18:23, 8 August 2011 (UTC)

Historic Course Through Amsterdam[edit]

Would anyone with the ability be willing to make a map of the old course of the Amstel, but show the old course over a modern map of the city? I've always been very interested in the exact course of the old river after Muntplein. --Criticalthinker (talk) 09:14, 24 April 2012 (UTC)
