Material and suggestions for editors

[edit]

Here are some links and suggestions that may be useful to editors expanding this page. I'm not comfortable editing the article itself, so hopefully someone who is will use this.

HotU (first link) seems to have the requested boxart.

The MobyGames link already present in the article may be a reasonable source for a screenshot, along with several of the other links provided.

The http://thecan.org/in/aa.html link currently in the article (under External links) seems malformed and should probably be improved.

The current plot summary only summarizes one of the 7 quests ("Exiguus and the Undead.") Others involve e.g. hostile druids, and a hoard of dragons. Much of the game takes place outdoors, not just in dungeons. The summary should probably be made more representative. The quest names are "Visions of Jugurtha", "The Knights of Andrew", "Elmore's Retreat", "Exiguus and the Undead", "Temple of Astarte", "The Lost City", "Destruction." Each contains 3-6 levels, for a total of 30, and ranging from villages, castles and libraries, to hilly riversides, to dragon dens.

It may be worth noting that one of the most practical ways to play it, particularly in multiplayer, is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DOSBox, these days.
