Article not to wiki standards[edit]

The entry as it is on 26 June 2006 needs a lot more substance. Surely there needs to be a reference to the Al Tikriti's other well known clan member, Saddam Hussein? Rick James Style 17:28, 26 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Usayd 23:47, 15 November 2006 (UTC) Is this a joke, if so needs to be removed. Else please cite source.[reply]

2 Million people in the London Demonstration....rubbish. A reference other than what the organisers inflated estimate was please.

please someone to Delete "iraqi Sunni" incorrect sectarian definition not refering to any purpose. no edit link shows on the article .. anyone has the authority? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.13.3.80 (talk) 02:41, 26 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Changes made to the article[edit]

I have made several changes to the article, removing libelous and misleaing stuff:

  • Firstly, and most importantly, the Muslim Brotherhood is not considered a terrorist organization in the UK, in fact, it was specifically cleared of terrorist links by a review committe. The Cordoba Foundation as well as Tikriti are UK-based, that should be front and center.
  • I have removed "allegation of terrorist links" as a WP:BLP as well as factual matter. There is no credible allegation of terrorist links. HSBC did not give any reason for closure of bank account except for "risk apetite". The BBC report specifically states that the Charity commission does not consider the Cordoba Foundation illegitimate.
  • I have removed the Gatestone institute source. That is not WP:RS for assertions of terrorist links.
  • Removed "The Blaze". It is an extremely trashy and sensationalist source. Removed the "political influence" section, because there is no evidence that he has any political influence with Obama. According to the source itself (which is trashy), the White House said that Tikriti's role was just a translator in a meeting with some Iraqi officials. More edits to the lead[edit]

The lead was changed a while ago by Anas_Altikriti which presumably is the person or someone closely connected to them.

I have made several changes.

  • Removed the long, unsourced, self-description of the Cordoba foundation, and kept only one line. There is a separate article about the Cordoba Foundation.
  • Removed details about the father of Anas Al-Tikriti etc. That belongs in the body of the article, which is already present.
  • Clarified the UK govt. position on the Muslim Brotherhood. Kingsindian   23:57, 10 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
