Here that website says it contains deliberate factual errors (for the purpose of catching plagiarists). Although it's clear from the NTV documentary [1] that the basic facts here are true, some details may not be. Someone not using his real name (talk) 22:39, 3 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The author of that site (murders.ru) has clarified by email, which is posted on the Russian Wikipedia talk page, that he had intentionally changed Biryukov's father/middle name on his site in order to "catch plagiarists". Someone not using his real name (talk) 08:08, 5 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Age

[edit]

The book by Раззаков is silent on Biryukov's age or date of birth. His age is given as 33 at the time of killings on murders.ru and as 38 in the NTV show. My personal opinion is that the latter seems closer to reality based on how Biryukov looks in the photos available (the NTV show has different photos than murders.ru site), but I could be wrong. More sources on this would be nice, but not the kind of web sites that just copy from each other. Someone not using his real name (talk) 08:08, 5 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The other three victims

[edit]

All three sources currently available have a surprising scarcity of details about these other supposed victims like even the data or place where they were supposedly kidnapped. The NTV show is the most detailed on the identification of the victims. It gives the names of the first two victims from Sep 16 and 19 [I have not added them here though], and interviews the mother of the Sep 19 victim, and the mother of the survivor from the Chekhov attack, but has hardly anything about the other three, which is pretty surprising. I do have to wonder if these were just pinned on Biryukov later, because the Soviet Militsiya was known for "solving" some crimes this way.
