Needs more sourcing, more text, less POV

[edit]

This is an OK start, but much more is needed - namely sourcing (there's none at present), expansion (what was her birth name? She actually mentioned it in her farewell broadcast: Harriet Himes), and less prose involving peacock terms and sounding like a eulogy. In addition, more is needed to show her national prominence and notability. B.Wind (talk) 18:33, 31 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree on showing Ann's national prominence and notability. I have lived in Miami for 48 years, and had the pleasure of always watching the news delivered by Ann. She was consistently good, unaffected, and with a riotous sense of humor... probably the only female anchor to deserve description like some sort of female Peter Jennings -- although, Peter's sense of humor was great, but not riotous! When the time comes to watch the news, I miss them both very much! -- MK —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.10.25.33 (talk) 05:23, 17 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
