COI

[edit]

Someone with the user name matching the article name has been making edits without sources or with poor sourcing (like using a blog), also adding in specific personal information like her extended family details. Possible COI, this article needs a lot of clean up work. Jooojay (talk) 21:05, 14 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Legacy issue

[edit]

Currently, the last sentence of the section entitled Legacy says: The location of La Singla [...] is the first flamenco establishment that opened in the city in 30 years.[9]. This is wrong, since the Tablao De Carmen in Barcelona has been in operation since 1988. In fact, many tablao places (most of which had existed only for a few years, or less, and have disappeared by now) have opened between 1993 and 2013 (the period of time I used to visit Barcelona regularly, every couple of months). Moreover, the demurred sentence wrongly insinuates that there would have been no flamnco establishment at all in Barcelona before the La Singla location opened. In fact, there are several tablaos that perdate La Singla and are still in operation. All of what is said in this paragraph is corroborated on the www-page with URL [1]. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hendrik Decker (talkcontribs) 12:26, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Hendrik Decker: - I agree its poorly written - I think what they're trying to say is the first *new* flamenco establishment to open in 30 years? But I could be wrong? Jooojay (talk) 21:37, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
From the citation used (and translated to English), "The La Singla space, a huge venue that housed a car wash tunnel, will open on April 15 after more than two years of work.", "In fact, the aim of the flamenco soirée was to make the tablao known - the first to open in Barcelona in 30 years - to tour operators, the tourist professionals who, in short, will be the ones who will fill the room with hungry bulerías guides. and heel."
