Unsourced speculative connection

Unfortunately, no ancient or recent modern source supports the idea that the aqueduct authorised and (maybe) part built in 179 BC but blocked by M Crassus is essentially the same as the Aqua Marcia. It's a very tempting idea, and I for one find it quite attractive, but can find reference to just one scholar who argued for it, way back in 1945, and a whole lot more who have been happy to mention and demolish it.
