Misunderstanding the fate of Arateh Dasht[edit]

The article has been revised to reflect what this editor has been able to discover to date about the village. Several villages with "Arateh" in their toponyms (Bur Kheyl-e Arateh, Juja Deh-e Arateh, Kafshgar Kola-ye Arateh, and Qasem Kheyl-e Arateh) were indeed merged with Qadi Kola-ye Arateh; the latter's name was changed to Arateh and became a city in the Central District of Qaem Shahr County after the merger. The reference documenting the merger and accession to city status makes no mention of Arateh Dasht.

The omission doesn't necessarily mean that it wasn't merged as well. The village doesn't appear in the census of 2016, which might indicate that it was merged into the new city, but it might not. If there is a source proving the village's fate one way or the other, it would have to be added to this article, as well as the ones linked herein. For now, I've simply recorded the population for 2011 and can make no claim as to the village's fate after that. Brightkingdom (talk) 15:28, 28 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
