- ... that Ugandan President Idi Amin officially declared that a coup leader had been "confusing" soldiers into rebelling during the Arube uprising? Source: "The Government said that Brigadier Arrube had shot himself, and had died in Kampala hospital. According to an official broadcast, he brought on the uprising by spreading false stories of an invasion and confusing the Malire troops." (Uganda Executions Of Rebels Reported)
- ALT1:... that Ugandan President Idi Amin reportedly shot the Arube uprising's leader dead when the latter tried to arrest him? Source: "He told me that as Arube entered, Amin hid behind the main door. It did not cross his mind that it would be possible [for Amin to take cover behind the door]. Arube ignored the door and just passed. He thought the target [Amin] was hiding inside other rooms in the house. His attention was on the other rooms. Unfortunately, he had left Amin behind. Amin fired three bullets which hit Arube from his back." (Three gunshots that ended the coup against Amin)

- Long enough (over 2,500 words), new enough (made on November 12, 2020), readable, within policy, and interesting hook (especially the alternative hook here, which I would recommend). The one thing that I don't see here is a QPQ, so that should be done and then this DYK? nomination should be good to go! Futurist110 (talk) 23:01, 18 November 2020 (UTC)
- @Futurist110: QPQ is done. Thanks for the review! Applodion (talk) 11:46, 19 November 2020 (UTC)
