Deletion from lede
[edit]An editor has deleted (twice now, the first time with bad form in that there was zero edit summary) material from the lede - on the basis (in his second deletion) of his assertion that it is "unnecessary." I don't understand that - nothing in the lede is "necessary." The question is whether the information is appropriate for the lede. I believe it is. Per wp:lede. And because, as indicated, "it is both common and sensible to reflect this - for First Rounders". And if the deletion is made under the mistaken belief that only what is necessary can be in the lede, as the deleting editor has indicated, then the basis for the deletion is flawed. I ask that it therefore be restored. (IDONTLIKEIT is not a reason, btw, though that is not what is claimed). --2604:2000:E010:1100:8949:E0AF:DC0D:F439 (talk) 00:21, 8 October 2020 (UTC)
Orphaned references in Austin Riley
[edit]I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Austin Riley's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
