Merger Announcement[edit]

The comment that customers in Texas were not informed in their "bank statement envelopes" is misleading. There was extensive communication related to the acquisition sent to all customers, both for the acquisition and for the name change. (Disclosure: I'm a Compass employee.)

Unsourced charges[edit]

I have removed the text regarding unsourced allegations against Compass banking practices, posted by an anonymous editor. These would not be allowed in the main article, and I feel that their inclusion here was merely a way to get around WP policy that would not allow such unsourced allegations in the main article. If an editor can provide sources to back up these allegations, post them and we'll see if they merit inclusion in the main article. (Full disclosure: I am a Compass Bank customer.) BBVA CompassBBVA USA – The name of the bank has changed to just BBVA and if you go the website for the U.S. division, it refers to the bank as BBVA USA. This is for clarity as the page for another well known BBVA division, BBVA México, has also changed its name from BBVA Bancomer. AquilaXIII (talk) 05:13, 12 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
