I really, really messed up and I am VERY sorry
[edit]Hello, I'm not super active when it comes to editing Wikipedia - I tend to make small changes like fixing typos and grammatical errors - and I always edit within the Wikipedia Beta app on Android. Unfortunately, while attempting to correct a dead link on this page, I accidentally made an absolute mess out of not just the citation I was trying to edit but also the preceding citation as well. I think it had something to do with the format of the citation (because I've had success editing citations before when they lead to dead links, but I hadn't dealt with links formatted as dead, etc. within the Wiki page itself). As you can see from the edit history, I've tried numerous times to correct the error - wigging out that I'd made such a horrible mistake. I was hoping there was some way to revert the page back to a previous edit (to right before I touched it and it burst into flames) but I didn't see one - so I'm really hoping someone more experienced than myself knows how. Again, I'm SO sorry. I would keep trying, but at this point I'm genuinely worried I would only make it worse - as that's been the case ever since I first edited the page. As an aside, I wish it to be known that I always copy the text I'm replacing so that I can paste it back in if something goes wrong but this time it just did not work. I must have missed something when I copied or pasted it that broke the link and then, as my attempts to fix the problem grew more frantic, I must have tried to replace the wrong citation and ended up ruining the citation immediately preceding my original screw-up. Again, I cannot apologize enough and believe me when I say I have taken this experience to heart and from now on I will stick to fixing simple typos/grammatical errors - if I ever edit Wikipedia again at all. And thank you in advance to whomever it is that restores the page to its condition before I screwed the pooch. BeepThisIsNotaTest (talk) 08:44, 21 January 2020 (UTC)
