I think that link to the USA PATRIOT Act, while very clever, may constitute a non-neutral point of view. Instead, maybe give evidence as to why this is probably a reference to the PATRIOT Act? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.143.214.152 (talkcontribs)

Probably? It's a total mockery of it. That's the point. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jnelson09 (talkcontribs)

Episode details

[edit]

Checked a few of this season's episode details, someone (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Contributions&target=61.69.129.103) added a bunch of (redundant, it seems) information ("episode details" at the top) as well as Australian air dates to some episodes (haven't verified any of these), is this a new trend for Simpsons episodes or is it some sort of artistic license? Personally I don't think it should be there. The Hobo 20:42, 6 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

He's done it to a lot of episodes, particularly from the latest couple of seasons. I've edited out the Aus airdates from a few, but I kind of got bored of doing it. I wrote on the guy's talk page but he probably didn't read it, being unregistered and all. --Stevefarrell 01:00, 18 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oakland or Auckland

[edit]

Homer says "San Fransisco! I'm not made of money. We're swimming to Oakland," However, Oakland sounds like Auckland, in New Zealand. It would make the remark have more sense, due to Oakland's prices being as high as San Fransisco's, and New Zealand prices being cheaper than American. Can we verify it was Oakland or Auckland? I can assure you, he meant Oakland. Since when can you see New Zealand from Alcatraz? --Jnelson09 17:30, 30 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I promise you he meant Oakland. I live in Oakland and not SF for a reason - purely financial —Preceding unsigned comment added by Anneawong (talkcontribs) 07:02, 7 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Blues Brothers?

[edit]

could the escape from the stage through the door in the floor an into the tunnel be a reference to the Blues Brothers?

Question

[edit]

Does Bart have the ability to hear again at the end, or he's still deaf at the end?-----Gojira09 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gojira09 (talkcontribs) 03:23, 26 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

He regains his ability to hear as seen in the scene where he talks to the bullies. Wimpyguy (talk) 23:44, 29 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
