Keep?
[edit]- There is enough confirmed information on this film to begin its own article outside of the information sourced in "Batman in Film" and "The Dark Knight (section sequel)." This page is intended to only contain confirmed information from the production companies and the people working directly with the film (ie Christopher and Jonathon Nolan) as well as box office reports and media representations. Any speculative information and assertions on plot details, titles, unconfirmed casting, potential antagonists, dates etc. are to be kept off the page therefore verifying the sites credibility to the reader.
- I propose instead of posting this article for speedy deletion, we instead update it with relevant information and merge what sourced and credible information we have on the film into its own article. 23:09, 18 June 2010 User:75.40.66.26
Began merging the two articles. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.88.3.42 (talk) 22:44, 25 June 2010 (UTC)
Began merging the two articles. The information regarding this film currently in production is split among active wikipedia pages "The Dark Knight" and 'Batman in Film." It would be helpful for the reader to have a single page to go to for information on the film. Additionally, the information provided in "Batman in Film" has grown to a length to be inconsistent with the other movies of the same series. (i.e.- there is only a brief one paragraph summary on Batman Begins and The Dark Knight) The articles should be merged into a single, credible page that presents the viewer with the most relevant and accurate information on the film.76.88.3.42 (talk) 22:59, 25 June 2010 (UTC)
Move?

Batman 3 (2012) → Batman 3 — - Marcus Qwertyus (talk) 18:45, 18 June 2010 (UTC)
- Object there are several "Batman 3"s. It should be a dab page. 70.29.212.131 (talk) 04:26, 19 June 2010 (UTC)
- But not until the AfD Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Batman 3 (2012) is settled. And page Batman 3 is a disambig page. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 04:33, 19 June 2010 (UTC)
- Comment looking at Batman 3 (edit | visual edit | history) · Article talk (edit | history) · Watch history, it's been a dab page several times, before someone else turns it into a redirect, then someone played with the redirect last month to point it here, instead, showing at the very least, it should be a dab page, since I doubt this film will be called "Batman 3" since none of the others have had numbers on them. 70.29.212.131 (talk) 04:48, 19 June 2010 (UTC)
I also agree with the move although I do believe this film should have its own article at this point for a user to be directed to —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.40.66.26 (talk) 05:54, 19 June 2010 (UTC)
- It is not the title used by IMDB [1] 70.29.212.131 (talk) 10:35, 19 June 2010 (UTC)
The name used by IMDB is also a tentative title.76.88.3.42 (talk) 23:01, 25 June 2010 (UTC)
The name used by IMDB is also a tentative title. [2] —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.88.3.42 (talk) 18:53, 19 June 2010 (UTC)
How easy would it be to move this page to the movie's official title url once the title is released? For ex. www.wikipedia.org/batman 2 moves to ....org/The_Dark_Knight76.88.3.42 (talk) 16:54, 1 July 2010 (UTC)
- This debate is moot until the AfD is closed. Fences&Windows 23:09, 2 July 2010 (UTC)
- result: moot as it was moved to incubation, thus ineligible for NS:0 names
Title
[edit]I think the film's title will be The Caped Crusader or more likely The Dark Knight Returns. Any thoughts? --Boycool42 (talk) 17:55, 23 June 2010 (UTC)
- "Batman Begins 3 (future film)" should be the name of this article, pending an actual title, since it's clear which third Batman project this is about. 76.66.195.196 (talk) 13:23, 27 June 2010 (UTC)
My personal favorite is Gotham ... those are pretty good too and fit the movie title's themes —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.88.3.42 (talk) 21:00, 23 June 2010 (UTC)
how do we get the deletion request nixed? the ref's have been updated —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.88.3.42 (talk) 21:07, 23 June 2010 (UTC)
- you can't. It will be processed when its time is up. 76.66.195.196 (talk) 13:23, 27 June 2010 (UTC)
Gotham would be a great title! --Boycool42 (talk) 02:04, 24 June 2010 (UTC)
- No, your wrong! Gotham by Gaslight would be a great, and crazy, title. --Schmeater (talk) 04:55, 29 June 2010 (UTC)
- Remember guys, this isn't a forum. ArtistScientist (talk) 11:17, 1 July 2010 (UTC)
Official Name
[edit]Christopher Nolan has released the name as The Dark Knight Rises. So the page should be moved to that. He also said that the Riddler wont be in the movie.

- Good to know! It looks like the page itself is already updated with this information. We can rename the incubator page title, but I'm in no hurry since it's not actually in the mainspace. Erik (talk | contribs) 16:01, 27 October 2010 (UTC)
- I've put in a request to have it moved, so will see what happens.-5- (talk) 16:02, 27 October 2010 (UTC)
this quote is there twice
[edit]I’m very excited about the end of the film, the conclusion, and what we’ve done with the characters. My brother has come up with some pretty exciting stuff. Unlike the comics, these things don’t go on forever in film and viewing it as a story with an end is useful. Viewing it as an ending, that sets you very much on the right track about the appropriate conclusion and the essence of what tale we’re telling. And it hearkens back to that priority of trying to find the reality in these fantastic stories. That’s what we do.” — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lessthankris (talk • contribs) 21:24, 19 January 2011 (UTC)
