What is the status of the Contract awarded to Costain Group
[edit]With the sale of the Power Station Site to a new developer and their apparent abandonment of all the previous plans put forward by Parkview, I would be interested in the status of the re-development contact awarded to Constains. If it has gone into abayance then maybe the article should be updated to reflect this. I personally have been involved in discussions about the redevelopment of the Station, although I do not hold any financial interests or political interests in the development. York Road?
[edit]The current station carried the name York Road between 1867 and 1885, but there is now no York Road nearby. Maybe what is now Battersea Park Road used to be called York Road? It continues as such about 2 km west of the station. Whichever road it was, it would merit a mention in the article. Note though that there was a Battersea Park Road railway station just to the east on the Chatham Main Line between 1867 and 1916, so there may have been a Battersea Park Road back then as well. – gpvos (talk) 14:30, 5 February 2024 (UTC)
