Deletion?
[edit]I have been contributing extensively during the past few months to the various articles dealing with the Japanese invasion of Taiwan (1895), and have found no evidence whatsoever to support the claim that there was a Formosan victory at Yunlin on 1 and 2 September 1895. I have described the military operations in September 1895 in the Background section to my article Battle of Chiayi. There was indeed some fighting around Yunlin in early September, but it ended, as usual, in a Formosan defeat. The notion that the Japanese were driven out of Yunlin is absurd.
Unless anyone can provide some evidence to support the assertions in this article, I intend to propose it for deletion.
