On creation, this article indicated its subject was German. The Wikimedia Foundation received an e-mail challenging this, and it has been removed pending the production of some source to verify. While the subject's nationality does not seem to be indicated in the articles used to source this, the German source suggests contrarily that after having been born in Bangkok the subject relocated at some point to Istanbul: "Geboren wurde die Tochter eines Hochschullehrers, der für das Goethe-Institut tätig war, und einer Ärztin 1961 in Bangkok, das Abitur bestand sie 1978 in Istanbul."
