Dubious final statement

The final reference is a dead link so I don't know where its content comes from... but the article text says the son of Sumner and C.B. Fry said in 1984 that "my mother ruined my father's life." However, the son's article Stephen Fry (cricketer) says he died in 1979. Could someone have been mistakenly inserting a quote from the other Stephen Fry about his totally different parents?
