Cup snake redirection[edit]

Because the "beer snake" is often referred to as a "cup snake", I've created a Cup snake page, redirecting to the Beer snake page. Martybugs (talk) 03:48, 17 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Instruction manual[edit]

Ive made some changes to make it sound more like an Encyclopedia entry. It was sounding like an instruction manual. Talk about any problem here. Thanks Wright123 20:40, 12 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

YouTube links[edit]

This article is one of thousands on Wikipedia that have a link to YouTube in it. Based on the External links policy, most of these should probably be removed. I'm putting this message here, on this talk page, to request the regular editors take a look at the link and make sure it doesn't violate policy. In short: 1. 99% of the time YouTube should not be used as a source. 2. We must not link to material that violates someones copyright. If you are not sure if the link on this article should be removed or you would like to help spread this message contact us on this page. Thanks, ---J.S (t|c) 03:51, 10 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

error/contradiction by VICE[edit]

saw an old vice article which explicitly called out and contradicted this fact in the article, was surprise when checked WP hadn't corrected itself or reputed the claim, (or even acknowledged it)

article quote: https://www.vice.com/en/article/bvz7g3/a-brief-history-of-the-beer-snake

[Wikipedia incorrectly states that the “first recorded beer snake occurred in January 1997 at the WACA Cricket Ground in Perth, Australia”; the Chicago Sun-Times featured a photo shot by iconic sports photographer Bob Langer of Cubs fans building a snake out of beer cups in 1969. “Ever wonder what happens to empty beer cups at Wrigley Field,” the 1969 caption reads. “Well, these fans see how high they can pile them, much to the amusement of all. But, alas, they tumble to the floor.” ]
