Need verifiable date of birth
[edit]We can verify his birthplace, but not his date of birth; therefore, we cannot add a birth date unless it can be cited to a RS. What I've found so far on the internet are 2 different birthdates 1991, and 1995 but neither date is published by a RS. Atsme 💬 📧 10:31, 8 June 2022 (UTC)
- "Born in Cairns but grew up in Brisbane" was what an interviewer wrote at another source, can be found at an older version. the favebook profile indicates the same. Both are partly self-reported and not reliable sources. But still: I suspect an error in the waapa brochure. I think that it makes no sense that fictitious relatives would make false statements on facebook. I will add something different if i can find sources.
- about the year 1995 - yes it can be found, but it would mean that he had finished his graduation with 16 and immediately played in a web series which is a porn satire. hard to immagine. 87.152.234.178 (talk) 19:55, 8 June 2022 (UTC)
- If you can find a live interview wherein he actually gives his birthplace and/or birthdate, that would help. His promo headshots don't even provide his age - most celebs avoid doing that because they don't want to be pigeonholed (typecast). Atsme 💬 📧 20:24, 8 June 2022 (UTC)
- The German WP's article writes that he was born on 10 July 1991 at Cairns, Queensland, Australia. –– Hamid Hassani (talk) 18:32, 18 July 2022 (UTC)
- According to postings on his official Facebook page he was born on July 10th 1989, which does not pass as a reliable source. Meanwhile, the place of birth Cairns has been reinstated. 84.154.110.230 (talk) 09:39, 21 August 2022 (UTC)
- dicho por la propia persona eso no es una fuente confiable???? 181.118.222.112 (talk) 22:26, 26 April 2024 (UTC)

Box office stats
[edit]IP - you can add the box office gross for each film if you'd like, but the Latin American release includes Mexico, which over 3 weeks earned $4,481,832, Bolivia earned $$23,126 in 2 weeks and Columbia earned $61,051 in 5 weeks. Rollout = DOMESTIC (29.6%) $1,915,789, INTERNATIONAL (70.4%) $4,566,009, WORLDWIDE $6,481,798 - not a box office killer. Atsme 💬 📧 19:01, 8 June 2022 (UTC) .
- Yes, i would rather call it "quite succesfully" in Mexico (it is not a bad result for a directorial debut in a country of origin). And this is exactly what i wrote at the start, you meant that this was too subjective and/or promotional. It is marked at No.3,4 and then 7 at Mexico so i rewrote it to "belonged to the most attended films during the timespan of its cinematic release in its origin country" which is more awkard but based on facts as long you can agree on that the first 7 belong to the better attended.
- I would not include single rarely visited countries (for what reason ever) from a cinematic release of a single movie at all in this summary (what should be all noted on series like harry potter then), but these are just details. Do as you like. On the whole, it is good for the article that you are dealing with it. 87.152.234.178 (talk) 19:46, 8 June 2022 (UTC)
- Realistically, when looking at things globally with notability in mind, these numbers are "quite successful", which is why we don't use that terminology in an encyclopedia; i.e., we use a dispassionate, pragmatic tone in compliance with WP:NPOV, and avoid comparisons, unless we're comparing their own individual milestones. - Citation of this text "Notably during the frame, this Spidey scaled new heights in Latin America, becoming the highest-grossing film of all time in Mexico ($72M cume)", very other ratings than quite successful - about a marvel movie - are used here.
- Wiki entry about Instructions not included "In Mexico, the film has a record-breaking $11.52 million from 2,755 screens on its opening weekend (...) doubling the record set by El Crimen del Padre Amaro of $5.5 million (...) accumulating around $27 million and making itself the highest-grossing Mexican film of all time."
- Anyways, it is clear what you did not like and it can also be posted differently. 87.152.234.178 (talk) 22:44, 8 June 2022 (UTC)
- you're sweet. It's really not about what I like or don't like - it's more about my involuntary knee-jerk reactions to teach because of my volunteer work at WP:NPPSCHOOL. I find myself in teacher mode more often than not. My apologies if I came across as personally not liking something you did as that wasn't my intention. Perhaps now that I'm down to a single student, my approach will change so that you'll see me more as a collaborator than the way you currently perceive me to be. Our goals are the same - to make this a good article. Atsme 💬 📧 00:38, 9 June 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you for the compliment. What I rated as disliking referred to individual words that you probably didn't like. It's because I haven't found and can't find a single passage that justifies your tag peacock. With one ecxeption - very positive reviews. I don t know if i would call very as exxageratedly high, but it was indeed a praise and it was okay to remove it.
- After much deliberation, I believe that there has been a misunderstanding. What you describe as "quite successful" is the viewership record, so here quite stands for underlining an extreme. And if the quite used in the sentence of the article would be a non-gradable adjectif, peacock would indeed apply. But it doesn't.
- But "quite successful" here means "a little or a lot, but not completely" or "pretty good". Rather less something that one finds in uses of exaggeratedly high praise.
- Quite + gradable adjectives and adverbs : When we use quite with a gradable adjective or adverb, it usually means 'a little, moderately but not very'. It has a similar meaning to ‘rather’ or ‘fairly’
- Quite + non-gradable adjectives and adverbs : When we use quite with a non-gradable adjective or adverb (an extreme adjective or adverb has a maximum and/or minimum, for example right – wrong - dead), it usually means 'very', 'totally' or 'completely' ( does not apply here)
- Gradable adjectives meaning : Most adjectives are gradable. This means we can have different levels of that quality. For example, it can be a bit cold, very cold or extremely cold. We can make them weaker or stronger with modifiers. 84.154.121.40 (talk) 11:58, 2 July 2022 (UTC)
