I do not think the costar mentioned is Ratna. She is Shyama.—Subzbharti (talk) 10:32, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move 14 March 2018

[edit]
The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: no clear consensus for new setup, so reverted to previous title per WP:RMTR as reversion of a recent undiscussed move that proved to be controversial. Please initiate a new move request if you would like to change the stable pattern. Dekimasuよ! 19:37, 20 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Bharat Bhushan BhallaBharat BhushanWP:COMMONNAME: subject performed under the stage name Bharat Bhushan and is referred to as such in all sources I could find. Certes (talk) 17:35, 14 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Comment by proposer: an alternative is to move this page to Bharat Bhushan (actor) and to move Bharat Bhushan (disambiguation) to Bharat Bhushan. Pinging Devgurera, who may wish to write in support of this option. Certes (talk) 17:35, 14 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

And so is Prof Bharat Bhushan. So, are we deciding to give the simpler title Bharat Bhushan to an actor, and not to a scientist who made contributions to the advancement of this world? The actor is great, nothing against him, but at least it is expected from Wikipedia to be unbiased towards actors rather to an actual scientist. I strongly recommend giving the general title Bharat_bhushan to a page where different options are given. Let's reach a consensus that there are many famous Bharat Bhushans. Let's not give any one of them a higher preference over other.Devgurera (talk) 21:41, 15 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I hope other editors can help us decide whether there is a WP:primary topic. The actor has far more incoming wikilinks but search engine hits are similar. As for page views, Bharat Bhushan was the most read title when it led to the actor's page, whilst Bharat Bhushan Bhalla has taken over since the page move. The above discussion is preserved as an archive of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page or in a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

Chocolate faced is derogatory

[edit]

This is not acceptable:

"He was the first chocolate-faced good-looking star of Hindi films."

This is what Wiktionary says about the meaning of "chocolate-faced":

"One whose face is covered in chocolate. (rare, offensive, derogatory, ethnic slur) A black person."

Firstly, it is wrong -- it implies there were no Indian stars who were dark before Mr. Bhushan (most likely false). But, more importantly, it is just blatantly racist and derogatory. I imagine Wikipedia should have higher standards than that. 2601:19B:B00:13E0:F5E8:E7C8:8023:1D3C (talk) 00:00, 14 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
