This book contains a section for Bird Studies Canada. It seems to have been written by BSC. The material may be almost self-publised. Nonetheless, it provides lead information worth fleshing out.
*Author "Charles L. "Chuck" Convis has been writing Old West history for forty years. He is the biographer of Myles Keogh of Indian Wars fame, and has been published in many western magazines and journals. A retired trial lawyer, he has lived in Nevada for ten years, where he writes and gives talks on Nevada history."

Facts to consider:

  • BSC projects engage over 25,000 participants across North America, p. 115.
  • Since the 1960s population trends of birds on Long Island have been monitored. This is one of the longest running bird monitoring initiatives in North America.
  • BSC and the Canadian Wildlife Service have developed the Canadian Migration Monitoring Network; a chain of fifteen stations across Canada five of which are in Ontario. These stations have trained thousands of individuals field research techniques. They in turn have provided important data to help in conservation efforts.

There remains more information in this article. DonaldRichardSands (talk) 23:35, 4 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
