The first two sections were yesterday the entire contents of Talk:The Black Crochan (with "The Black Crochan" a redirect, now to this article). I have the discussion here but that talk page retains the formal history.--P64 (talk) 19:17, 14 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

deletion?

I created the page for The Black Crochan, which is the proper name for the Black Cauldron. I believe it initially met the criteria for speedy deletion because I started the page with only a stub; however, I have since gone back and filled in the details more completely, and I feel it now meets Wikipedia's standards.

User: Metros232 I have retagged the article "The Black Crochan" for Speedy Deletion as I have merged this piece with the The Chronicles of Prydain. I do not believe we need separate articles for every individual story – song – accomplishment that an individual has. We should be looking to consolidate the information rather that having it fragmented all over the site. Don’t you agree with this? Let me know your thoughts. Shoessss 21:53, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I do not believe this fits well into the article The Chronicles of Prydain; the lengthy discussion of the history and properties of the Crochan damages the flow of that article. It would be better spun off into its own article here. AJD 05:12, 21 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The 2007 article discussed above seems to be Talk:The Black Cauldron (novel)#Black Crochan, which I moved there from a subsection ofThe Chronicles of Prydain two weeks ago. It's longer than this article "Black Crochan", which three different editors created later that year.

Consolidation

We should not integrate the kettle with The Chronicles of Prydain. Rather, we should

integrate with The Black Cauldron (novel) or
make it stand alone or
make it a section in a new article (perhaps called Prydain?)
