Boa Island
[edit](transfered from user page)
Hi, thanks for your excellent work on Boa Island. If you have a lot of information about the Janus figure, you might want to create a new article specifically about it. All the best, Bláthnaid 14:40, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for your compliment. I would like to avoid the "Janis" implication and stress that it is the Boa Island figure... in order to let this unusual statue have its own recognition as a Celtic figure and I will pursue it as time allows when I have more details gathered about it and the similar stone carvings of its period. There are other two-faced statues in other cultures and it is a shame to relate this to the Roman one just because a poet was familiar with that one... I'll let you know when I tackle it and am copying this discussion to the page itself for future reference. 83d40m (talk) 00:59, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
images
[edit]Hi. I'd suggest you move one or two images to the left, to keep them nearer the text and avoid the unsightly break in the references bit. Nice article. athinaios (talk) 08:24, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for the note about the gap -- went to another computer and saw what you meant... not all browsers display the same thing! Will play with the images until it works correctly. 83d40m (talk) 01:00, 13 December 2007 (UTC)

Turkish Balbals - Stone Fathers
[edit]Startling similarities to Turkish Stone Statues, called Balbal or Tasbaba: Check the wiki up:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kurgan_stelae
They are "very" similar!
where is the junction?
The only pic on the Turkish wiki:
https://tr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Balbal
pic: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Balbal.jpg
is "the same".
