"Zen is When"
[edit]The statement: He wrote (along with Leon Pober) the ballad "Zen Is When", recorded by the Dave Brubeck Quartet on Jazz Impressions of Japan (1964)" is incorrect. "Zen is When" was written (along with Leon Pober) by my uncle, John M. "Bud" Freeman, not by Lawrence "Bud" Freeman.Spfreem (talk) 19:06, 24 April 2015 (UTC)
Earlier free jazz than Lennie Tristano
[edit]Apparently the 1945 record "The Atomic Era" by Bud Freeman and Ray McKinley (Majestic Records #1031) is the earliest free jazz, even earlier than that recorded by Lennie Tristano later in the 1940s. Source 173.88.246.138 (talk) 23:17, 22 February 2022 (UTC)
