Recent migration

[edit]

I'm assuming many of the tens of thousands of Bulgarians living in Italy today came there in the last ten years. Likewise, I'm assuming there was at least a modest flow of Bulgarians to Italy after the Communists took power. However, the article sort of stops in the 17th century. Could we perhaps locate some information on this? Certainly there ought to be quite a bit online regarding the recent migrants. - Biruitorul Talk 15:06, 23 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed, most Bulgarians in Italy are recent emigrants. My book doesn't have any decent data on the 1990s wave of emigration though. There are a few pages about prominent Bulgarians in Italy, some not-quite-notable facts about Italian-educated Bulgarians in the 19th and 20th century, that kind of stuff. There ought to be something better online indeed. TodorBozhinov 18:38, 23 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
