A friendly hello! I'm stopping by curious as to the history of the Bullo River Station as stated on Wikipedia.  Let me introduce myself, my name is Drew John Allen. I'm a decendant of the late Ray William Locke, who was my grandfather and my mother's father.  My family understand that Bullo River Station was pioneered by my grandfather, Ray during the 60's (1960-1964) he then later sold the property onto Charles Henderson? There would be property records listed within the Northern Territory. Well, this is what we were told when my grandparents were inducted into the Stockmans Hall of Fame - Longreach, QLD as Unsung Hero's some years ago. We had a bit of a family reunion out at Longreach for their induction. I was honored to be there for the ceremony, as were Ray's wife, sons, daughters and grandchildren. There's a substantial wall feature featuring my grandparents story (including the Bullo River story), among the great wall of all Unsung Hero's.  Is it true that there's actually a plaque layed on Bullo River Station somewhere to clarify this? I'm curious.  Anyhow, this is just a friendly introduction to quiz the online content, which is easily searched over the internet (there's actually much more online content on my radar) regarding Bullo Rivers history.  I feel it my duty to set a few stories straight, commencing with the truth behind the pioneering of the virgin land during the 60's and hopefully set some accuracy to the content available on the internet before my grandparents story of Bullo River is lost.  I would look forward to a response from anyone that might be able to assist me with my inquiry.  Drew John Allen

Hi Drew, I'm not an expert on Bulloo river but did write the article as it stands from the few online references I could find. If you could point me to any other online material then I'd be happy to include it. Regards. Hughesdarren (talk) 13:41, 10 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Darren Hughes, thanks for the quick response! The online content is what I'm trying to clear up. Are you able to assist me with someone that can do this? Bullo River was virgin country prior to my grandfather pioneering it in 1960. Today I've attained a copy of the original title issued on 10 June 1960 to Raymond Locke - Pastoral Lease No. 568 over 1362 square miles - or approx 36km2. The Lot was consolidated with other land to create today's Bullo River Station which is 1627km2. I have a copy of the locality plan too. These were obtained by my Uncle, Barry Raymond Locke today from the Director Pastoral Lease Administration & Board Rangelands Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Northern Territory, Australia. Any help would be appreciated. Drew John AllenDrewjohnallen (talk) 07:22, 11 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
The reference in the article says the Hendersons acquired the property in the late 1950s...Wikipedia requires citations for text and I've done some google searches for Locke at Bullo River and come up empty-handed, could you take a digital photo of the title and upload that or email them to me for verefication? or do you have any online or paper references o hand that you could post here for me to check out?
