Copyright violation
[edit]This version of the article dated 02:58, 13 January 2007 was a cut'n'paste copy of the text from Cardiff Council's pdf file here, even down to the incorrect capitalisations and grocers' apostrophes at the end of page 1 ("Woodpecker's, Kingfisher's" ...), that were corrected here by 30 Jan. Since virtually all of this text remains in the latest version of the article I've reverted to the version before the copyvio, per WP:COPYVIO. —SMALLJIM 21:04, 24 December 2011 (UTC)
Boundaries
[edit]Straddling the River Taff, it offers a combination of arboretum, flower gardens and recreation grounds. Within the park's grounds is Sophia Gardens, home to Glamorgan County Cricket Club. Most of the park is laid to grassland but there is also an abundance of woodland and tree-lined avenues. The castle begins the park in the city centre.
I think this is wrong. Bute Park is on the east side of the River Taff. Sophia Gardens is on the west side of the river. The SWALEC cricket stadium is in Sophia Gardens. The castle is not in the park. Verbcatcher (talk) 02:53, 5 November 2014 (UTC)
- I agree with you Verbcatcher and if someone asked me where the boundaries were I would give you answer (I'm native to cardiff)- but I suppose sophia gardens might technically be part of bute park - much like coopers field is? I think you could make the change as 'non contraversial'- and then if someone can cite a source saying otherwise they will be able to change it back. EdwardLane (talk) 19:36, 6 November 2014 (UTC)
