Something is strange with this name. "Bylazora" means "white morning" in Slavic. I know that theories about an early Slavic presence in Balkans are not widely accepted, but is there any other explanation for meaning of this name? If not, then this name really imply early Slavic presence in Balkans. PANONIAN (talk) 11:12, 18 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's possibly a name that has been attached to the settlement more recently (ie. since the Slavs arrived). There is extremely little evidence for the Paionian language, so we will probably never know what they called their city. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Hillaria (talkcontribs) 07:50, 15 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Except the name "Bylazora" is attested in 3rd century BC ,and the Slavs are said to have arrived 6c 'AD

Is Payonian Paionia?

yes Crnorizec (talk) 07:53, 4 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Is Gradiste Gradiste?

no, any big town/city could be "Gradiste", because that is what it means in many Slavic languages: "big city" Crnorizec (talk) 07:53, 4 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have fixed the link in the link in the Discovery section, referring to the TFAHR Projects. Someone had changed "Republic of Macedonia" to "Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia" in the title. This link and the title had been copied from the referred site as it appeared there. Don't waste my time, please. Crnorizec (talk) 07:53, 4 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
