Needs to update the model list
[edit]more models are missing —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rassnik (talk • contribs) 03:19, 27 August 2010 (UTC)
Corrections to the list
[edit]Discuss any corrections here, you may want to move unverified Sciphones into a 'Other' category.

- Some phones Cect makes should be described as look-alikes, not clones. The phones do not have I-phone functionality, and are not running O/S X mobile. They are Java phones styled to look like I-phones. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.182.14.138 (talk) 20:55, 14 August 2009 (UTC)
Hiphone should be merged into this page, since CECT also does notable Sciphones also, and there isn't a Sciphone page.

EMF testing?
[edit]I know that tests about cellphone's EMF influences on health have been inconclusive so far and that it cannot be confirmed or discarded that they affect it, but has a EMF level comparison between Sciphone mobiles and other trademarks (such as Sony, Motorola, Nokia, etc.) ever been made?
So far I've been function-testing a i68+, and I find it to be quite acceptable, even if batteries' charge fails at working longer than 24h. In other words, for a questionable product made by an anonymous manufacturer, it behaves quite well. EMF levels are the only thing left I've got to know. If anyone can help me it will be welcome.Kim Kusanagi (talk) 22:42, 4 October 2009 (UTC)
References cited do not support statement
[edit]CECT offers unauthorized clones or replicas of the Apple Inc. iPhone and various Nokia cell phones manufactured in China and sold at a fraction of the price of the original.[1]
At least one reseller has been subject to legal demands from Apple Inc..[2]
- It seems the references cited do not mention CECT. What's the association btn the references and CECT? Now wiki (talk) 08:28, 31 October 2009 (UTC)
Mis-information
[edit]This entire article is very inaccurate. The term "Sciphone" is used to describe the "clone" phones. Sciphone is the name of a chinnese mobile phone manufactorer, who produces the i9+++, i68 and i9.CECT does not make the "Sciphone"
nor most of the models listed on this page.CECT is only confirmed as being the maker of the infamous P168.
Another ting is the article cites some of the phones being illegal in "every country" with refrences to simple news articles discussing the phones.
Article needs a huge overhaul.
