This article had previously been deleted. It is terribly written, and is an advertisement. The title "Canada's Largest Ribfest" is misleading. The ribfest is a traveling carnival which draws large attendance in every city. Plus every ribfest states something about being "Canada's largest party", or "Canada's largest cookoff" [1]. The article should be deleted and created into a larger article encompassing all ribfests. UrbanNerd (talk) 12:56, 27 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I can't verify your statement above. I have found that there is certainly variations in sizes of ribfests. Moreover, my impression is that it's the "rib teams" which travel, not the festivals themselves. —CodeHydro 14:44, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
This is true, the rib vendors travel, not the actual festival themselves. Anyway you want to word it is fine by me. I never meant to imply the festivals themselves traveled. UrbanNerd (talk) 15:52, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • The article was deleted via prod and contested (by myself), then taken to AFD as a procedural matter after it was erroneously prodded again. Ribfests are similar but they are not all one single "traveling carnival" (as far as I know), it is the ribbers themselves who travel and pay to attend individually-operated events (most are operated by a rotary service clubs). "Canada's Largest Ribfest" is the name of the event, and I do believe it is at least the largest ribfest in Ontario. Do you have evidence that it isn't? –xenotalk 15:37, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
