North American Financial Holdings → Capital Bank Financial – Company has changed its name. — Vchimpanzee · talk · contributions · 20:18, 2 May 2012 (UTC)
OpposeNeutral, company just calls itself "Capital Bank". Perhaps instead rename to Capital Bank (North Carolina). Nikthestoned 09:17, 3 May 2012 (UTC)
- This is problematic, as the company's actual headquarters is Miami, Florida.— Vchimpanzee · talk · contributions · 13:29, 3 May 2012 (UTC)
- I still think it's a valid disambiguation given the complications in deciding where there home-base actually is! Nikthestoned 14:10, 3 May 2012 (UTC)
- Probably. I have a red link to Capital Bank (Raleigh) in several places although given the Raleigh bank's current status, I can't see that article being needed. It's going to be tricky to have details of Capital Bank's history in the same article. It's sort of like when the church I went to from 1987 to 1989 merged in 1990 with a brand new church in the suburbs. Would Raleigh be enough?— Vchimpanzee · talk · contributions · 18:51, 3 May 2012 (UTC)
- Oh, and the article will still have the NAFH history prior to the Capital deal, regardless. How do we handle that if we name the article for the bank and not its holding company?— Vchimpanzee · talk · contributions · 18:52, 3 May 2012 (UTC)
- And the lead changes. Right now, the first sentence is about the holding company.— Vchimpanzee · talk · contributions · 18:57, 3 May 2012 (UTC)

- Because of the holding company being the subject of the article to begin with, I would tend to support Capital Bank Financial. Capital Bank (Raleigh) at this point would be a notable bank, since they still think of it as Raleigh-based. Capital Bank (North Carolina) would work too.— Vchimpanzee · talk · contributions · 14:53, 4 May 2012 (UTC)
