This page would be improved by explaining some of the technical terms used, perhaps with links to other wiki pages about them. Currently, the page reads as if written by and for existing enthusiasts, and as a non-specialist reader I feel a little excluded.
For example, what's a '3-road'? (I can guess, but shouldn't need to) What's an 'ash tower'? What was 'railway grouping'? Pretty basic information for experts, I'm sure, but impenetrable for those entirely new to the topic.
The page didn't even bother to define the abbreviation in its title! I fixed that omission, but I'm afraid I just don't know enough about the subject to contribute more. Ministry (talk) 23:36, 9 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
