Is "cascatelli" generally acknowledged as that shape pasta, or is it just a trademark?

Linguine, lasagne and orzo are well-known pasta shapes that you'll find in the dictionary. On the other hand, cascatelli is just a trademark for a custom shape of pasta. Shouldn't we make that clear in the initial sentence of the article? For example:

"Cascatelli [kaskaˈtɛlli] is a trademark for a short pasta shape with a flat strip..."

I'd say so; it's a fundamental difference. Look at the list of pastas; AFAICT only three of the 150+ types listed have "designers", and the other two don't have pages.
An alternative would be to say that it's recently invented. Either way, it would clarify that this is a proprietary name and product, which feels fundamental to me. -- Dan Griscom (talk) 09:41, 1 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
