Significance of Aurobindo interpretation

Does someone know what Aurobindo really means by Chaitanya? I am considering greatly reducing or altogether removing his commentary on the subject because it appears to be a construction on top of Taittiriya Upanishad#Ananda Valli, and does not bring any clarity to what chaitanya means.
