There is a certain part in the article "it's origins are ,however, Indo-Islamic" because in every other Wikipedia article in which chattris are mentioned they are considered to be a Hindu architectural element and I can also provide a non Wikipedia based reliable source for that. Thank you. Piedpiper186 (talk) 19:42, 23 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

??Well please do so (here) - other sources give them an Islamic origin. Hindu architecture is not noted for early use of the dome! Johnbod (talk) 01:47, 24 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Chattris were Hindu architectural elements but Persian sultans of india and later mughal were quick to adapt it because it resembled wooden canopies of Persia however there was difference between both of them... Piedpiper186 (talk) 10:26, 24 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Blogs are not reliable sources. Dāsānudāsa (talk) 10:36, 24 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This is not a WP:RS - it appears to be a student or amateur essay, by someone who thinks Indo-Islamic architecture began with the Mughals after 1526, instead of being several centuries old by that point. Johnbod (talk) 14:26, 24 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
You are right Indo-Islamic architecture began during the time of Delhi sultanate between 1150 to 1200 CE but in the source it's written that oldest known chattri was built 2000 years ago in mankameshvar temple Piedpiper186 (talk) 18:20, 24 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
You mean the Mankameshwar Temple - who says any surviving structure is 2000 years old? Not the standard books on the subject. Johnbod (talk) 21:35, 24 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
It's not written in Wikipedia that doesn't mean it's not 2000 years old... Don't argue with me you're not even Indian... Piedpiper186 (talk) 08:51, 25 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Speaking logically earlier Indo Islamic architecture under Delhi sultanate had no unique Islamic traits (only difference between Mughal and Indo-Islamic architecture). All of the Islamic characterstics (onion domes, frescoes, Iwans, etc.) came directly from Persia but chhatri doesn't appears in the Persian architecture of that time. Characterstics that were only unique to Indo-Islamic architecture were derived from Hindu architecture and chattris were one of them... Piedpiper186 (talk) 19:30, 25 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, but this is nonsense. Johnbod (talk) 20:20, 25 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
India has its fair share of historically illiterate people — Dinanath Batra was not from Uganda. Any paragraph that starts with "speaking logically" must necessarily be mumbo jumbo. K3, do not not miss out on the term-paper (?) cited above, right out of Pakistan's top art-history school. TrangaBellam (talk) 20:38, 25 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Johnbod can you explain me how it's nonsense?? Piedpiper186 (talk) 21:42, 25 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
